Religious School Director
Anna Iroff
Morah Anna was born and raised here in Knoxville and in the Heska Amuna community. She graduated from Bearden High School, and then moved to New York City for four wonderful years at Albert A. List College - the Joint Program between the Jewish Theological Seminary and Columbia University, where she majored in Bible and Neuroscience. Afterward, she worked in special education at A.L. Lotts Elementary School for two years. In addition to serving as the part-time Education Director at Heska Amuna, Anna is currently working toward a Masters degree in speech-language pathology at the University of Tennessee. In her free time, Anna enjoys reading, trying out new recipes from the Food Network, and spending time with friends and family. In the summers, she also loves working at Camp Yofi, a camp for families with children with autism, held at Camp Ramah Darom. Anna has many fond and life-changing memories of her summers as a Ramah Darom camper and is thrilled to be a part of those experiences for these special children and families.
Morah Anna knows first-hand how extraordinary our congregation is and how highly we value our students and Jewish education. She has been with the Heska Amuna Religious School for a long time – as a student, madricha, and teacher - and she enjoys serving our community through our most precious and exciting resource: our children and youth.
