Friday, September 3: There will be no Shabbat evening services.

Saturday, September 4: Shabbat morning services - 9:30 a.m. Q&A with Rabbi Ferency will follow Kiddush. Selichot services in preparation for the holidays will be held at Temple Beth El at 8:30 p.m. A joint program, beginning with Havdalah, will be led by Rabbi Alon Ferency and Rabbi Beth Schwartz. Dessert and discussion will follow on what goes on in our hearts, and we will talk about apologizing with all its ramifications. The 9:30 p.m. Slichot service in the sanctuary will include the Temple Beth El choir, who will contribute musical renditions of several prayers as well as a musical interlude.

Sunday, September 5: Minyan - 9:30 a.m. HARS classes - 9:30 a.m.

Monday, September 6: Minyan - 9:00 a.m. (Note time change due to Labor Day.) The business office will be closed for the holiday.

Wednesday, September 8: Erev Rosh Hashannah services begin at 6:30 p.m.

Thursday, September 9: First day Rosh Hashannah services begin at 9:30 a.m. Tashlich Ceremony and service will be at 5:00 p.m. at the river on Cherokee Boulevard.

Friday, September 10: Second Day Rosh Hashannah services start at 9:30 a.m. There are no evening Shabbat services.

Saturday, September 11: Shabbat morning services begin at 9:30 a.m., and we will celebrate September birthday and anniversary Shabbat. The Kiddush will be sponsored by Jenifer and Evan Ohriner in honor of their anniversary. There will be a discussion with Rabbi Ferency following Kiddush.

Sunday, September 12: The Joint Cemetery Service with Temple Beth El will be held at the New Jewish Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.

Used Book Sale - You have the amazing opportunity to take home precious Judaica at almost no cost. The sale continues in the downstairs classroom at the foot of the front stairs through the High Holidays. Suggested donations: $.50 per paperback and $1.00 for hardbound.

Our thoughts are with Elaine Brown at Little Creek Sanitarium, Marilyn Presser in Sweden, and with Bernie Iroff, Helene Messing, Nita Merlin, Judy Rattner, Gene Rosenberg, and Burt Routman who are healing at home.
